Sydney NYE 23

Sydney NYE 23 was a vibrant series of animated projections showcased on the Harbour Bridge pylons as part of the City of Sydney’s New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Designed to complement the evening’s firework displays and energize the night, the animations blended 2D and 3D character-driven storytelling with saturated colour palettes and playful motion. All characters and concepts were designed by me, with each animated scene depicting different moments of celebration across Sydney, capturing everything from street parties to relaxing days at the beach and barbeques in the park.

Drawing directly from the City of Sydney’s branding, its iconic shapes, colours, and visual language, the work embodied the theme “One night, many ways to celebrate”, highlighting the joy, diversity, and spirit of a city coming together to welcome the new year.
